Creator agreement
The creator agreement
The short version
- You eat, you post, nobody pays you. The venue comps a meal for you and a guest. Food, and drinks only if that venue includes them.
- It all runs by text. One invite at a time. Reply yes or no. Reply STOP and the texts stop.
- You pick your post date when you book, inside 14 days. Tag the venue, use #gifted, say what you actually thought.
- Your video stays yours, and nobody makes you change your post. We can use it, with credit, to show what Local Views and Creator Visits do: case studies, our website, sales decks and our own ads, paid ones included, with no extra fee. A venue needs your written OK before it puts money behind it.
- Two cancellations and two reschedules a month. Past that, the invites stop for a while.
- No side deals with a venue we introduced you to while you're on the programme. Do it and the invites stop.
1. Who can join
- You're 18 or over.
- You run a real TikTok or Instagram account with real posts on it. Not a friend's, no bought followers.
- You have an Australian mobile you answer, and you live in or near a city we cover: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or the Gold Coast. We take sign-ups from other cities too, but visits only happen where we have venues.
- We choose who goes on the list, and being on it is no promise of invites. Some months we have nothing near you.
2. How invites work
- We text you one invite at a time from 0489 089 138: the venue, the suburb, what's comped, times to pick from.
- Reply yes or no. Saying no costs you nothing.
- We don't promise a number of invites, or any at all, or a particular venue.
- Say yes and we book the table, then tell the venue your first name, handle, time and party size.
3. What's comped
- Each venue sets what it comps at its own place, and the invite spells it out: the dishes and how many of you it covers. The venue pays, not us.
- Where a venue sets nothing, the default is a meal for you and one guest, up to A$100 a visit.
- Food only. Alcohol is in only if that venue includes it, and the invite will say.
- Anything past what the invite covers is yours to pay. Sort it at the table.
- Barter, not work for hire. No fee, no travel money, no gear, no ad spend.
- If a venue wants a paid shoot, it comes through us and the fee is agreed in writing before you film.
- Don't ask a venue for cash, a discount or extras in exchange for a better post.
4. The visit
- We text a reminder the day before, and a short one on the day.
- Allergies and dietary needs are yours to raise. Tell us when you accept so we can pass it on, and tell the staff when you sit down.
- Turn up on time, with your guest, and order what was briefed.
- Film like a guest. Kitchens, staff areas and private functions are off limits unless you're told otherwise. Don't film anyone who asks you not to.
5. Posting and disclosure
- You pick your own post date when you book, inside 14 days of the visit. Post at least one video about the visit on TikTok or Instagram by then, and send us the link. That date is your deadline, because you chose it.
- Tag the venue and use #gifted.
- The disclosure obligation is yours. Australian law expects a comped meal to be disclosed, and #gifted covers that today. If the law or a platform wants more, we'll tell you what to add. If a post isn't disclosed, you're the one exposed. We'll chase you, but we can't do it for you.
- What you say is up to you. Nobody here or at the venue gets to tell you the food was good.
- Nothing unlawful, nothing you can't back up, and nobody in shot who didn't agree to be.
- If we can't find your post we'll check your public profile for it, then text you. Public posts only. It's your account, so you can take a video down. Tell us if you do.
6. Your video, your rights
- You own what you shoot. Nothing here changes that.
- You give Local Views and the venue a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display and share that video to promote ourselves, including on social media and in our marketing material. We credit you where the format allows.
- We can use your video as a case study. That means showing it, and the results around it (views, likes, and what the visit did for the venue), to promote Local Views and Creator Visits: on localviews.ai and our other pages, in sales decks and pitches to venues, in reports, emails and on our social accounts.
- That includes paid ads for Local Views and Creator Visits. We can put ad spend behind your video, or clips from it, to promote our own services, for as long as we run them. There's no extra fee: the comped meal and the invites are the exchange. We'll never use it to sell anything else, or to make it look like you endorse something you didn't.
- For case studies and our ads we can trim, crop and caption your video, and add our name or the results to it. We won't change what you said, or make it look like you said something you didn't.
- A venue running paid ads is a separate yes. A venue putting money behind your video needs your written permission first. We ask for that on its own, and you can say no or name a price.
- This covers every video from a visit we booked, and it doesn't end when you leave the list. If you'd rather we stopped running paid ads with your video, email us and we won't start any new ones. Case studies already published can stay up.
- A venue can't require you to change, edit or delete a post. If one asks you directly, send them to us.
- If a post has a factual error, a wrong price or the wrong hours, we'll ask you to fix that bit. Corrections come through us, not a DM.
7. Cancelling, rescheduling and late posts
- You get two cancellations and two reschedules a month. Ask early and we'll move the booking.
- Cancelling inside 24 hours of the visit counts as one, and so does not turning up at all.
- Past that, we stop sending you invites for a while. We'll text you and tell you why.
- Miss the post date you picked and we'll chase you. Keep missing them and the invites stop the same way.
- None of this is us being precious. The venue has held a table and bought food.
8. Venues we introduced you to
While you're on the creator list, don't take bookings, payment or gifts from a venue we introduced you to unless it comes through Local Views.
- "Introduced" means any venue we booked you into or named in an invite.
- What counts: a fee, a gifted meal, product, vouchers, a discount, anything of value in exchange for content. Same if it comes through a manager, an agency or a second account.
- What's fine: walking in and paying like any other customer, a post nobody arranged, and any venue you worked with before we introduced them.
- If a venue asks you directly, tell us. Plenty do. We'll set it up and tell you the fee first.
- Go around us and we stop sending you invites. There's no fee to pay, and nothing hangs over you once you leave. Venues have their own version of this rule in the Creator Visits terms.
9. You're independent
- You're not an employee or contractor of Local Views or the venue. No wage, no super, no leave, no workers compensation, and our insurance doesn't cover you.
- You decide whether to accept, what to film, what to say, and when to post inside the 14 days.
- Tax is yours. A comped meal can still count as income or barter, and that gets more likely the more of these you do. We don't withhold anything and we don't give tax advice. Ask your accountant.
- Your phone, travel, editing and time are your own cost. You're a guest at the venue, and responsible for what you do there.
10. Your number and your data
- What we hold: your first name, mobile, city, suburbs, handles, what you like filming, your email if you gave one, our text history, your visits, and the links and views of your posts for us. We keep the consent wording you ticked and when, as the Spam Act requires.
- What the venue sees: your first name, handle, booking time, party size, and any allergies you told us about. Then the post and its views. Never your number or email.
- Reply STOP any time and the texts stop. Any visit we've booked gets cancelled, so tell the venue if it's close. Reply START to come back.
- We handle your information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy. Email creators@localviews.ai to see what we hold or have it deleted.
11. Leaving, and being removed
You can leave whenever you like. Reply STOP, or text us and say so.
We can take you off the list if you keep missing visits, post without disclosing after we've asked, treat staff or other guests badly, break section 8, or turn out to be running a bought or borrowed account. We'll tell you why, and you can ask us to look again.
12. Changes and the rest
- We can update this. We'll text you the link before a change that matters. Staying on the list means you're fine with it.
- The venue is responsible for its own food, service and safety, the same as for any guest. We pick venues we'd eat at, but we're not cooking, and we don't promise views.
- Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Governed by the law of New South Wales.
13. Contact
Texts come from 0489 089 138 and you can reply any time. For anything else, email creators@localviews.ai: a question, a booking you need to move, or your data.
